Kim Jaejoong, Ko Sung Hee for Spy

Kim Jaejoong, the male lead of the new KBS drama Spy, revealed what his co-star Ko Sung Hee ate before they shared their first kiss scene.
Spy aired its first episode on January 9th and has already gained much attention from the public.
The January 10th episode of KBS’s Entertainment Weekly invited the main cast ofSpy onto the show, including Jaejoong, Ko Sung Hee, Bae Jong Ok, and Yoo Oh Seong.
In the episode, Jaejoong revealed, “The first scene that we had was a kiss scene. Before heading to film that scene, I was on the phone with Ko Sung Hee, and she said she was going to eat samgyupsal (pork belly meat). So I thought it was also alright for me to not prepare anything before the scene.”
Jaejoong added, “Although she had some samgyupsal, there wasn’t much smell from that, so I was thinking, actresses are indeed different,” causing much laughter on set.
While Spy has been accused of plagiarism, striking similarities in its poster with French film Léon: The Professional, the drama will continue to air every Friday at 9:30PM KST.

BTOB’s Sungjae names Suzy as his type

Sungjae, Suzy
In an upcoming episode of MBC‘s entertainment program Real Men, BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae will appoint miss A‘s Suzyas a girlgroup member that he wishes to date.
For this special episode, the celebrity recruits filmed in the cold weather of -20°C. After the tough training, the members cuddled around a fire during break time and started a game of truth or dare.
The youngest member Sungjae revealed a shocking statement, “Among the female idols, I would like to go out with the older noonas.” After being asked who in particular, Sungjae pointed out miss A’s Suzy without hesitation. He then added, “I usually like older women.”
This is not very surprising, as Suzy’s prettiness has already attracted a long line of guys who want to have her as a girlfriend. Besides BTOB’s Sungjae, many celebrities have named Suzy as their ideal types, including Jay Park and Seo Kang Jun.
While Suzy is born in the year 1994, Sungjae is just one year younger, born in 1995.
This episode of the army recruits sharing their stories in the cold winter is scheduled to air on January 11th at 6.20PM KST.

KBS issues statement regarding plagiarism accusations on “Spy” poster

spy jaejoong
KBS has issued a statement with regards to their promotional poster for the drama Spy allegedly copying international film Leon’s original material.
On January 10th, representatives from the production team of the drama Spy only issued a statement saying, “We will not be responding to the matter concerning plagiarising Leon’s poster,” only pointing out the similarities in the posters’ designs. It was also stated that the production team currently does not have a particular stance about the situation.
KBS initially released a poster for their upcoming drama Spy on January 5th, which features Bae Jong Ok holding a gun against a mystery man with Jaejoong in her arms. However, netizens eventually noticed the similarity to the poster of the film Leon, which was rereleased back in 2013, with both characters pointing a gun, having the similar layout for their texts in the background, leading to the complaints of plagiarism against KBS.
Meanwhile, Spy follows the story of Jaejoong’s character, Sun Woo, an agent of the National Intelligence Service and his other Hye Rim, played by Bae Jong Ok, a former spy from North Korea.
It made its premiere on January 9th and will be airing on KBS.

Heechul reminisces old Super Junior times with Kibum and Hangeng

Super Junior in 2006
In the wee early morning of December 11th, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul updated his personal Instagram account with a funky old group photo of Super Junior from nine years ago when Kibum and Hangeng were still in the team.
Heechul captioned the photo with “Don’t let your guard down, Lee Hyukjae. You are going to have this hairstyle kekekekekekekeke Hold on!! I don’t think the hair is the only problem here?! Ya, Hyukjae-ah. What happened to you in 2006….(T^T) #IncaseEunhyukcantfindthisimtagginghim #PATAYA #Longtimenosee”
The group photo was taken back in the first half of 2006 when Super Junior attended their first promotional activities in Thailand at the Pattaya Music Festival, hence the special hashtag by Heechul “ไม่ได้พบกันนาน”, which meant long time no see.
The yellow themed outfits of the 12 members coincidentally matched well with the event’s poster backdrop. In particular, what stood out the most was the epic hairstyles by each of the members. Although Heechul was using the photo to poke fun at Eunhyuk, it has brought much laughter to his followers as those were the days when they looked cool with the hairstyles.

YG Entertainment responds strongly to unauthorized selling of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” accompaniment

Taeyang from "Ringa Linga"
YG Entertainment has issued a response with regards to American singer Derrick Bullock claiming that Taeyang’strack “Eyes, Nose, Lips” was his.
On January 10th, YG Entertainment revealed through a statement that they will be taking a strong stance and pursuing legal action against Derrick Bullock’s unauthorized release of Taeyang’s track “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”
The agency further issued a warning on music streaming and downloading websites such as YouTube, iTunes and other platforms to also halt sales of Derrick Bullock’s track “Change Me,” and added that they will be tougher in monitoring and penalizing such unauthorized use to further prevent a recurrence.
The response from YG Entertainment came after initial reports about amateur American artist Derrick Bullock releasing the track “Change Me” on YouTube and iTunes, while using the accompaniment from Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” on the track. However, the incident escalated as the singer claimed that the track was his originally and was stolen by the agency.
The description citing these claims has since been deleted, but the link to the track, which is still available for purchase on iTunes, remains.
